Based in Kingsbridge England, Herring is the home to premium footwear brands, including their own locally made brand.
I shot their campaign for the seasonal release in November (Autumn/Winter) 2025.
The brief for the campaign was to capture a range of urban and a rural settings, give it a “cold weather vibe but not wet, London weather” with a “gent that always has the perfect shoes on”.
The previous campaign used two influencers who, although giving the brand some extra reach, I felt looked very beige/neutral and I wanted a more striking subject to help ‘stop the scroll’. I chose locations which, although Australian, have a European feel to keep the shoot relatable for their audience. As a thematic link I kept the lounge chair on the beach, but thought I could improve on it. And I intentionally drew the colour palate and tonality of the shoot down into darker, more moody vibes. In total we shot in 7 locations over 2 days and the Client chose over 300 shots as final selects.
Whilst the shoot is yet to go live, it was received well enough that I’ve already been re-booked, and my favourite comment from the team was “This is the boost we didn’t know we needed until we saw the shots”.
